Landa Knight
Owner / Head Coach
Landa began her gymnastics career at the age of 9. Her parents, Charley and Ginger Arons, built the original Texas Tumbleweeds Gymnastics School in 1972. Landa began teaching classes as well as competing for the gym at that time. She won 2nd place all-around at the State Gymnastics meet just two years later. She also earned her judging degree at the age of 14 and began to travel around the state judging meets. Landa began a satellite gymnastics program at the age of 18 where she taught classes in Brady, Eden, Menard, Junction, Sonora, Rocksprings, Ozona and Eldorado. Landa bought the gym from her Mother in 1995. During the following eight years, she took many athletes to the State Gymnastics meet. Landa also had a level 9 gymnast, Kaila Martin, to compete at the Regional Championships which included eight states. Kaila was 11 at the time and placed 6th on Floor. Landa closed the gym in 2003, but the desire to help young athletes to pursue their dream in the sport of gymnastics never died. “Once you get chalk in your blood, it never goes away.” “TTG” reopened their doors January 28th 2013. She now serves as the Owner/Head Coach of “TTG”.
